Arizona artist and jewelry designer, Mary Gulino,
graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with her Bachelor’s
Degree in Fine Arts. Along with being a jewelry designer, she is an artist
in many different realms, including photography, painting, drawing, computer
graphics, animation, video, and woodworking. Having an intense
understanding and appreciation for many art forms, she utilizes her extensive
knowledge and background when designing jewelry, visually balancing color,
shape, form, and texture to create a finished work of art .
Mary travels extensively to find distinguishing beads. She carefully hand-selects each one for quality, uniqueness, and beauty. The imported sterling silver beads are individually made by hand, adding to the value and exquisiteness of each discriminating piece of finished jewelry.
Upon returning to her studio, Mary works with the beads. She tries many different configurations, searching for the one which allows the beads to compliment and enhance each other. Mary takes her time creating each distinctive design, paying careful attention to detail. Finally, she uses various techniques to bring the piece together, including creating handmade chain links, wire wrapping stones, and hand-stringing the beads, using the best materials for a long-lasting, durable life.
